Taurion has a goat-tee and an overall five o'clock shadow. His eyes reflect the wisdom of one who knows who he is, but is not happy with it.
Background:
Taurion came from a mountain village of minotaurs called Sictiate, his mother's and father's bonding of marriage united the minotaurs and the wolf people that live at the base of the mountain. Up until their union small wars and skirmishes had frequently broken out. The minotaurion mystiks that live at the highest point of the mountain are the village "keepers" as it would be. Always showing the people of the village the way, always shining light on their dark paths.. Taurion left the village under the occupation of mercenary at a fairly young age. An occupation in that village is understood to be a permanent one, and thus punishment was put unto Taurion when he left the profession. For a good while he was exiled from his home. Taurion met and fell deeply in love with a woman named Flinteye. Flinteye soon became Taurion's drive to live. Facing every hardship with her beautiful smiling face in mind, Taurion was accepted back into his village's society after a grueling set of tests.
Flinteye became sick. Her wolf instincts over riding her humanity, she began to decend. Not willing to see this happen, Taurion set out on a quest to destroy the dragon Hwarm. The dragon who has long since terrorized his village as well as killing his grandfather. (The man of whom Taurion gained his name sake from.) Taurion was miraculously able to kill Hwarm, and was brought back from the brink of death by his grandmother. The mystiks, seeing this great deed being done by the one whom they predicted, granted Taurion what he wished, possession of a relic the mystiks had. Two rings which enabled the wearer to construct his body according to his minds will. Taurion returned to Flinteye victorious, with marital intentions in mind.
Taurion gave Flinteye one of the rings and held onto the other. He soon learned however, that Flinteye was already to be married. An arranged marriage of sorts, of which Taurion did not fully comprehend at first. Feeling his love wrenched from his very grasp, Taurion left for his village in a dazed array of mixed emotions, only to find it in total panic. With no one to watch over the eggs of Hwarm, they hatched.. all of them. Feeling responsible, Taurion joined the militia and prepared to fight to the very death. Having heard that the great dragon slayer had returned and had joined the militia against Hwarm's hatchlings, boosted troop morale to the heavens. In a dizzying and confused rally, the generals put Taurion in charge of the war effort.
Having no military training in the past, Taurion was suddenly put in charge of 2000 war ready troops. The hatchlings struck without warning in a huge wave down the mountain side. All installations held by Taurion's forces were lost to the devastating wave of dragons. Taurion later learned that the mystiks had been brutally torn to shreds by the hatchlings.
Calling together his remaining forces, Taurion rallied up the mountain side, into the now decimated sanctuary of the Mystiks. Gathering various relics of use, The Sictiate Militia forces were able to wipe out the hatchlings.
Peace once again restored to his land. The time of renewal started. Great ceremonies and events were scheduled in Taurion's honor. Yet he escaped from his native home. Wandering where ever he could, to try to rid himself of the thought that hundreds of lives rested on his shoulders, and hundreds were lost because of that. The pain of losing his love and the hundreds of deaths that rested on his shoulders, including that of his own father, drove Taurion mad for a time. For a period of two and a half months, Taurion only remembers small ribbons of what he was doing or where he was. He slowly came to his senses and attempted to put his thoughts in line, his love for Flinteye still burning bright as a nova star . He was now a General and the hero of thousands. Taurion now ventures where ever he might. Reappearing in his village to raise morale and to help organize the rebuilding process. Nothing can be said about the future of his village, seeing that the mystiks were killed and they have never known life without the mystiks. Taurion has not addressed this problem as of yet..
